Why do I talk so much about Anthony Robbins? Tony's book -- Unlimited Power -- was a life changing experience for me. I read it at a time in my life when things weren't going particularly well, and he gave me a new perspective on things. His book speaks not of "political" power, but of personal power, and the power of mastery over one's self. He does not tell you what to do! This book teaches you how to look at yourself and your life, and evaluate them. He teaches you how to determine WHAT your values are, but he does not tell you what your values should be. He teaches you how to know yourself, and then he teaches how to change, if what or who you determine yourself to be, is not really who or what you want to be. He helps you determine what's important to you and often times why, and he credits his guides and mentors with their due. His book -- and a couple of others -- helped to shape the person I am today. And although I may not be rich or famous, he gave me the skills to determine why I am who and where I am, and the skills to do what I choose to do about it. He is a great teacher and coach, and I defy you to buy and read the book at left and not find something of incredible value in it for yourself, as I did. It doesn't have to be the whole book, but I can guarantee that if you read it there *will* be some nuggets more valuable than gold. Personally, I prefer the book, over the tape set. I can highlight the book, take it with me; restudy it... go back and read the highlights that meant the most to me and "brush up" on things I found of value -- it is a book worthy of re-reading. And I don't really like his voice on this tape set -- it was in the early days. But that's just my opinion. If you don't want to buy, check it out at your local library. That's my story. You'll hear about other important books in my life, see my reading list.
